Maison Jouvenot – a new chapter

A Return to meaning
Frédéric Jouvenot opens a new chapter in his work.
Celebrating twenty years this year, he has dedicated his career to developing movements and original time displays, constantly redefining how time can be expressed through mechanics.Today, his approach becomes more focused.
Complexity remains, but is now guided by clarity, balance and wearability.
The intention is simple.
To create watches that are both intellectually engaging and immediately understandable.
Where mechanics do more than measure.
They express.
Helios Tradition
Every hour, the watch transforms.
Twelve rays rotate in sequence, each completing a 180-degree motion to reveal a new state between light and shadow.
The system is built as a radioconcentric structure, where the reading of time emerges from the movement itself rather than from hands.
The result remains intuitive, yet fundamentally different.
Each ray is individually hand-finished and treated as a true horological surface. Decorative techniques such as spiral guilloché enhance depth and light interaction across the dial.
Time is no longer indicated.
It becomes something to observe.
At the heart of Helios Tradition lies a centralized mechanical system entirely conceived to support this display.
More than 100 components are integrated within a structure measuring only 12 mm in diameter and 5 mm in height.
Within this confined space, 24 jewels activate and regulate the motion of the rays, ensuring precise indexing and perfectly controlled energy distribution at every hour.
The system operates as a coordinated mechanical sequence, requiring absolute repeatability.
For the first time, such a complication has been integrated into a 39 mm case.
This required a complete rethinking of spatial architecture, including both radial and vertical organization of components.
Helios Tradition brings a conceptual display into a refined and wearable form.
Its 39 mm case, available in rose gold or steel, reflects a deliberate balance between mechanical density and everyday comfort.
The proportions are guided by the constraints of the movement, ensuring both legibility and presence on the wrist.
The watch is designed to be worn, not only contemplated.
A Meeting with the sun
Helios was born from a simple observation.
Before clocks, time was revealed by light.
Inspired by ancient civilizations and their relationship to the sun, Frédéric Jouvenot imagined a display based on a universal form. A central circle radiating energy.
What appears simple at first reveals a far more complex reality.
Here, the display dictated the mechanics.
Master Watchmaker
Frédéric Jouvenot is an independent watchmaker with a singular trajectory in contemporary haute horlogerie.
He began his career at Minerva, where he developed a deep understanding of traditional movement architecture.
In 2005, he co-founded Concepto, a movement manufacture known for developing high-end calibres for some of the most demanding maisons.
His approach is defined by a reversal of the traditional process.
Rather than adapting design to mechanics, he allows the display concept to define the architecture of the movement.
His work is recognized by collectors for its originality, coherence and technical integrity.
